On request, the guests of Casa Elvira can participate to workshops of local craftsmen: egg decoration, adornment of local costumes, cooking of Romanian food, the traditional Christmas meat preparation etc.

On Easter, we organize special programs, including the participation to the traditional Easter night cermony at monastery Vatra Moldoviţei and including the blessing of traditional Easter food..
During the winter holidays, we offer the opportunity to witness all the Christmas customs that have been preserved for centuries in this region. From June to September, on request we can organize visits to one of the local sheepfolds to witness traditional preparation of cheese from milk.

  • local delicacies: trouts, mushrooms, syrups, sweets and jams from wild forest fruits
  • alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks made by us at Casa Elvira (beer, bilberry liqueur, elder soft drink)
  • special events, festivities and parties;

MEAL SERVING HOUSE POLITICS
The restaurant of Casa Elvira is not included in the open restaurant circuit (it serves only the guests of the pension). The restaurant doesn’t offer “a la carte” serving, but all the food and products are prepared in the same day, are fresh and they are never “recycled”. The tourists do not have access to the kitchen and they cannot prepare their meals themselves (with the exception of food for small children or persons with special medical diets).

MEAL PRICES
Lunch or full dinner: 10 eur/person (soup, main course, dessert, mineral still or sparkling water).

Standard dinner: 8.25 eur/person (main course, dessert, mineral still or sparkling water).

Festivity dinner: starter from homemade products, specialties, Boeuf salad, Romanian eggplant salad, cheese cream, smoked fish in pine tree wood, roaster gelatin, “sarmale” from Bucovina, pork steak, veal, chicken with mushroom, pickles, birthday cake with cream and fruits (homemade), coffee, mineral still and sparkling water, homemade liqueurs. Estimated price: 20 eur/person, for minimum 12 persons.

SERVING CAPACITY

30 places at tables in the big fireplace salon;
20 places on the exterior terrace and covered pavilion with barbecue and grill;
